Thank you so much for all of your thoughts and suggestions. Went to see them again earlier this week and again yesterday. The tongue function is much better already, but baby is having incredible difficulty maintaining a seal, which is where all the spitting up is coming into play. It is worse than it was before but considering the severity of the poor wee ones torticollis, I'm not surprised. I had to see them to put two and two together and when reattachment was ruled out it was painfully obvious that the issues are all arising from asymmetry in the jaw that has seemingly worsened. What I am realizing now though is that it isn't a matter of it worsening, it's a matter of it changing and progressing. It is going through the scribble phase of writing so to speak. With practice, it will become legible and with time, fluent. I was able to get them in positions that, once again, were a bit awkward, but were fine for Mum and more supportive of baby. I'm going to keep in touch with Mom as time goes on. But I strongly feel that once the torticollis and cranial asymmetry and fixed, she will be golden. I sincerely appreciate all of your input!! I'm so lucky to have such a great community to bounce ideas off of.
