Pat said, "If Nils Bergman & Michal Young are coming
to your area please be sure
and
try to attend a conference. We all need to hear and
be revived by what
they
have to say about Kangaroo Mother Care. The last
session with Dr.
Bergman
was on change. We need to hear this again and again"

I agree that it would be lovely and helpful to hear
Nils Bergman and Michal Young, but the real problem,
IMO, lies in those who think that Kangaroo care is
"special" and to be done with babies who are stable
and ready to move onto such an "unstable and unproven
way" of dealing with them, instead of thinking of
Kangaroo care as normal and expected.

I'm back from a hiatis that turned out to be longer
than I expected. I travelled a fair amount this
spring and was in a lot of pain when I returned- I was
finally diagnosed with fibromyalgia. :-( I don't
know what that does to my path to be IBCLC, but I do
know that it slows it down considerably since I'm in
pain daily and get stupid as a result. It's good to
be back on lactnet though. :-)
