Dear all, and especially Nikki,
I am also grateful for the learning opportunities in Lactnet, but I think it
is too harsh to call this a mistake.  It was an unexpected (and undesired)
outcome, but given the clinical picture I doubt many of us would have come
to a different plan of action.  Especially since the one other diagnosis,
allergy, was not possible to eliminate due to maternal opposition.
Of course we feel bad when things don't go as planned, but this baby doesn't
seem to have suffered intolerably.
