I struggle like everyone else with how it will affect bfg promotion if we
acknowledge the level of contaminants in the milk. We have experts who
reassure us that in spite of the levels the milk is still advantageous
compared to formula, and this is what I believe. However, we are
scientists, and we have to have an open mind and be willing to hear info
even if it isn't what we want to hear. I think we can't ignore issues
relating to contamination. But I also think the most prudent course is to
cont. to support bfg. and to simultaneously work with environmentalists to
reduce the pollution in the food chain. It will be a delicate balance
promoting bfg. and still being honest about contamination issues. We will
have to be very careful.
