Fat content of the milk differs according to the degree of 
emptiness/fullness of the breast, and can therefore vary quite a lot 
from feed to feed (and mother to mother). I don't think there is 
evidence that the amount changes significantly according to the 
mother's diet, though type of fat does...there may be more recent 
info on this I am not aware of.

Of course,  though, you are right, Ann Marie, that the weight of the 
milk does not necessarily reflect its calorific value.
