I am a La Leche League Leader, and I have just helped to start LLL of Connecticut: Twins and Multiples. I have a personal anecdote relating to twins of different sizes and assigned breasts. My daughter was born at 3 3/4 lbs. and my son at 4 3/4 lbs. Their weights have varied by that minimum of 1 pound as has been as different as 5 lbs. Early on my daughter had difficulty nursing from my right breast, which was producing too much milk for her. It was " just right" for my son. They stayed on the same breast for about a year. Then my son started sucking in such a way as to cause a milk blister. The solution was simple, they switched breasts. Now the supply is greater in my left breast, of course. I personally had different sized breasts nursing one child, so I didn't give it too much of my attention nursing two babies. I have no idea how common this is, I haven't seen the issue come up in our group.
