I am a medical laboratory professional and I was looking through one of
my journals and came across an article on "blue babies", One tiny
newborn was rushed to the emergency room all blue and the article talked

about all the bizillion different tests they had done and determined
this baby had methemoglobinemia , This is when the iron part of the
hemoglobin becomes chemically changed and can not carry oxygen to the
body. Any  way the baby got better and the article went on to discus
what the physician thought might have triggered the incident. The
suggestions were medication and anesthesia the mother received during
labor, baby footprint ink, a hospital disinfectant or  "the nursing
cream the mother applied before breastfeeding."
Now what does anybody think of that?
