Hi, Iīm sure many of you could have good suggenstions for my questions.
The problem here in Mexico , at some hopitals, is that when babies are unable
to latch, nurses give moms the (Iīm not sure how its called in english)..the
bottle nipples?, so the baby latches, and gets milk! Although I donīt really
know if its enough, since they donīt gasp enough breast tisse, but they pi and
poop. We have , at some stores avents nipple shields but the complain is that
babies canīt seem to latch and stores usually have standard sizes and the ,
little ones are hard to find. I found a store that has medela for like 11 dlls and
some moms canīt afford them. My question is: medela shlieds, even though is
the standard size, does it work better that avent ones? Also, do you know
brands that work better? Are the ones with the cuts better that the round
ones ? Iīm new suggesting the shileds since stories have changed about the
use of these, and some babies (few) just canīt latch when mom have
inverted nipples. Iīve also notices that when babies have retrieving chinsthey
acnīt latch. I read read about the position (upside down ) when the retieving
chins but when they are too heavy and moms have a c-section its hard for
them to try this one. Iīll appreciate any sugestions. Thanks,
