In my part of the world, it is very very common for moms to want to do
breast and bottle. They don't even want to exclusively breastfeed even for
2-3 weeks. I always say something about establishing a milk supply & not
confusing the baby, blah blah blah. But the moms always resist this
information and some argue with me that bottles for convenience sake can not
be all that bad, especially if it is breastmilk in a bottle.

It may not be the nurses only, it may be that the moms are agreeing with the
nurses. I don't know how we fight against this practice when a mom feels
breast and bottle is best.
