Dear Friends:
When I was doing research for a talk about legal issues and charting, I had
a telephone consult with Liz Baldwin, the great lawyer/advocate for
breastfeeding. She told me that giving a bottle without permission had been
subject of a lawsuit, but because all those cases had been settled out of
court, that the results of the legal action were not available for public
use.
This was probably 8 years ago, and may have changed. Anybody have access to
Lexus-Nexus to check it out?
warmly,
Nikki Lee RN, BSN, MS, IBCLC, CCE, CIMI
