Jessica , I think informing about the hazards of formula is part of our
professional responsibility as much as it is to teach proper position and
latch and avoiding bottles and pacifiers because of nipple confusion and
anything else we do with our clients.
Withholding information limits peoples ability to make an informed choice.
Information that is new, different from what was previously thought, may
shake one's belief system and take some time to sink in, but when presented
as facts with a solid base of evidence, I don't see how it can be viewed as
fanaticism.
