Sorry PAt, I can't comply with your request to vote no. I voted yes to every
point because I think they are all good revisions. I don't agree that any
harm will be done to members or to the organization or to our principles by
making these changes. I also compared the two documents word for word and I
feel confident that the proposed changes are appropriate and overdue. All
bylaws should be broad and general. Some of the old bylaws are too specific.

This new board has gotten more accomplished in its short term than some
Boards did in years, as evidence, third party reimbursement issues, which are
finally being addressed in very practical and definitive terms. i trust this
BOD more than any of the others and i trust that they have handled this
matter with good intentions and plenty of discussion and forethought.

Although i think it important that people discuss these issues, IMHO,
discussion should be based on careful consideration of the issues and not on
fear, spite or resentment because of politics going on behind the scenes. i
think ILCA members are intelligent people who can make up their minds based
on facts and not on emotion. Decisions about bylaws should be made on that
basis alone and in the best interest of all members, not just a few who may
be motivated by something other than that.
