Two things the father of my children did that were special bonding
experiences--Dad was always the bathgiver, and when he was home on the
weekends, he would take the baby after he woke up and nursed, and then
let me sleep until baby needed next feeding.  I have pictures of both
boys asleep on Dad's tummy while they listened to music. Dad need not be
relegated to "chores."
