Hi All,
Just thought I'd tell the world what a difference Lactnet has made for me on
a personal level. It has changed my life. Literally. If I hadn't had the
benefit of Lactnet, I would not know half as much as I do about BF. I have
only been in the field 3 years and know more than many people I talk to here
who have been in it for much longer. There is only so much you can learn
from reading books, you know? I read whatever I can, but I have learned so
much more practical information from this group. There is no way you can
learn so many different ways to look at a given situation from a book/s.
With this forum you get the benefit of many different viewpoints and people
who have "been there, done that" and what has worked for them. Because of
this forum, I have been able to help more moms than I can count, and to try
and break it down into specifics would be too hard. Just rest assured that
many moms ouoght to be very grateful that 2 IBCLCs decided to start this
internet group!
On a personal (not professional) level, this group has given me a sense of
family, and has supported me through some very tough times (better than my
own family, I might add). So, Kathleen, I think Pat is right. You will be
getting a ton of e-mail! If Lactnet has done so much for a little CLE like
me, just think of what it has done for everyone else!
Hugs everyone! Especially to the great Kathleen's!
Warmly,
Jay
