We simply have all our mothers leave the pump running with the tubing
attached while they clean their other parts. That length of time is usually
sufficient to dry out any condensation. I have only seen milk back up in the
tubing rarely, and if that happens we suggest that she replace the tubing if
she is unable to wash and dry adequately. (alcohol really does speed the
drying process.)
