<lymphatic tree>
I meant lymphatic pump (the combination of forces that allows tissue
fluid to enter lymphatic capillaries, and then, be pumped along by
muscles in the walls of lymphatic vessels between valves.
Once tissue fluid enters the lymphatic pump, it stays inside, being
propelled, if there is no blockage, so as to eventually enter larger
vessels and dump into larger veins on their way to the heart, and thus
eventually pass through the kidneys for processing.
(For those wondering about diuretics, the fluid has to get into the
lymphatic pump and/or the venous capillaries and into the general
circulation again before the kidneys can "do their thing", diuretics or
not.)
<Maybe we should be considering having moms lie in a prone position>
I probably meant supine-anyway, lying on her back.
