Also, where is the evidence based research that shows prolonged use of high
doses of fe, is beneficial to either mother or newborn? How many studies have
they done PP that compare moms with equal blood loss, egual drop in HGB and
HCT that take large doses of fe to those who don't take large doses, but
regular supplements, or maybe JUST Floradix? (no connection to the company) How have
the recovery of HGB/HCT compared? Does the evidence based research back
this up? Have the studies been done? How about the newborns? Have their
outcomes been studied? Is their own iron stores, present in their livers at
birth synthesized better or worse with extra fe on board? I am talking about
full term infants here.
I would love to see evidence based research that this protocol is beneficial
to mom and baby. Maybe that is what we need to look at????
