Seem to remember clicking as a possible sign of thrush?? along with the
obvious positioning problems.

Subject: clicking noises

> Hello everyone,
> I need some help with this one. Have a mom who bf 2 successfully with no
problems. Came to me day 4 with baby #3, and very sore cracked nipples,
diagonal bilateral wounds. Digital proved that tongue was not covering gums
and I suggested finger walking exercises on tongue and finger feeding with
syringe and tube (EBM) which went well for two days, enough to improve
nipple trauma and get the tongue extension improved. This was instead of
bottles which Mom was on the verge of using with EBM. They came back to me
with much improvement (visually) but still SO MUCH UNBEARABLE PAIN and the
baby clicking away. Seems obvious that the tongue is still not out enough.
The nipples are also not coming out of baby's mouth without being scrunched
or flattened. Palatte seems normal. Any other ideas?
> thanks.
