Darillyn,
This sounds to me like what may be happening. I've since found out that the
mum  is only pumping twice a day, single pumping up to an hour (ie 30 mins
per breast) and she's getting drops (never preg, never breastfed)! which
seems to indicate to me that she is pretty responsive! I'll be suggesting to
her that she really needs to get a double pump and to pump more frequently.
Anyway, I am curious about the mechanism behind anovulatory cycles. My basic
understanding is that if you don't ovulate you don't have a period as a
general rule but that is obviously not the case. Exposing my ignorance here!
Can someone enlighten me?
