Hi Heidi,
I just re-read your original post. I think having an evaluation by a SLP is
a good idea, I hope you can find one who is knowledgeable and
supportive about breastfeeding.

It does seem baby is improving on milk transfer although some other issues
seem to be appearing (jaw tremors). We know that when there is nipple/oral
size problems, they usually improve as baby grows, which he is doing.

It seems that mother is very attuned and by now probably can assess when a
feeding was effective vs ineffective. I wonder if she can eliminate all the
weighings and just weigh baby daily? That would certainly give her more
time in her day and allow her to keep expressing which I feel is important
for her to continue right now. She may be able to gauge how much to
supplement her ebm by bottle based on the daily weights.

Very complicated indeed. I commend this mother for her dedication.
