Dear all, Thank you thank you thank you.

We have received so many lovely notes about Lactnet in the past 24
hours. I sent 11 pages of comments to LSoft today, less than a day after
they asked me "how we were doing, and if we had any statistics or comments
to share with them." For those who missed that note, our host, LSoft, the
company who makes and sells Listserv software (widely used in the world)
asked us for an update on how we are doing, and how successful the list
is.....three years after they took us in...and helped us by giving Lactnet
a technical home.

I hope to continue compiling these notes and will pass them onto LSoft.
They offer us this service and support for nothing, and I am extremely
grateful, as it was a tense few months when I had to find us a new home
after UMass/Med was unable to carry us any longer. This list began in
1995 after a conversation between myself and Kathleen Auerbach.

It is very gratifying to read your notes. I realize that there are problems
on Lactnet, and that not everyone things it's that great..nothing in life
is perfect....but it is a way for us all to communicate, in times when
world communication seems to be focusing on negativity and differences.

We are all interested in supporting breastfeeding, even though we all come
from different corners of the globe. 41 countries and counting....

Breastfeeding and supporting mothers in breastfeeding. It's the tie that
binds us..

Kathleen
