local LLL group and it was really fun. 


        "The First Twelve Days of Breastfeeding"

/(sung to the tune of "The Twelve Days of Christmas")/

On her first day postpartum, a new mom said to me,

"I can't get my baby latched on."

2nd day: "Nursing never ends." (repeat the 1st day)

3rd day: "My nipples hurt." (2nd, etc.)

4th day: "I'm so engorged." (3rd, etc.)

5th day: "I need sleep!" (4th, etc.)

6th day: "Both my breasts are leaking." (5th, etc.)

7th day: "Baby won't stop crying." (6th, etc.)

8th day: "This place is a disaster." (7th, etc.)

9th day: "There's no food left to eat." (8th, etc.)

10th day: "I'm stuck here in the house." (9th, etc.)

11th day: "I feel so sad and weepy." (10th, etc.)

12th day: "Sex is nonexistent." (11th, etc.)
