Here ae two ideas that just might help the other suggestions work:
1) This baby and mother may benefit from going to bed for the day, with lots of skin-to-skin contact, including at times other than when the baby is ready to feed, lots of rest of Mum,and the chance to notice the baby's cues. (A "holiday in bed with the baby".) The idea is that the mother only gets up to go to the toilet, and even eats in bed or in the bedroom.
2) "Co-bathing', though this can also be done on a bed, instead of in a warm bath. I sometimes give this idea to mothers to do for "homeorrk". Sometimes it is good to do with me out of the picture, so that they can orgot about another person and just get in tune with their baby. The baby is placed prone on the mother's front, and given the chance to find her/his own way to breast. The mother only helps by making sure the baby doesn't fall off, e.g. by stabilising her/him at the hips. I explain to Mums about taking all the time their baby needs.
Sometimes a non-latching situation goes round and round and round, and cosy strategies like these can hlep short circuit the cycle of difficulty. I once had a mother who needed to use the "co-bathing" technique - on a bed - for every feed in the early days, while her baby was learning.
Cheers
