I had a mom whose physician had the same concerns about prescribing
domperidone. He wanted to know what studies there were on the long term
health effects for both baby and mom if domperdone was used.  I didn't
know of any studies and so the dad e-mailed Jack Newman.  Jack in his
straightforward manner answered the question with a question--What are
the long term health effects for the baby with the use of formula?  The
parents I worked with decided then and there to order from Pharmacycare
in New Zealand without a prescription.  It arrived in about 2 weeks and
mom says she saw a 40-60% increase in her milk supply as a result of the
domperidone.  She was thrilled!!
