Hello,

My last child was incorrectly diagnosed with galactosemia.  She actually
tested positive three times.  She showed NO signs of galactosemia so I
never weaned her or supplimented with soy formula.  As a result I am
interested in other options for babies that are truly galactosemic.  Jack
Newman talks in his book about adding lactase drops to your own breastmilk
to make it lactose-free if you suspect colic caused by lactose
intolerance.  I am wondering if this would be an option for babies with
classic galactosemia?  If the milk were made lactose-free couldn't the
baby receive the other benefits from breastmilk, except ofcourse the skin-
to-skin contact.

Any input would be appreciated!
