I tell all my parents with the 'sleep thru the night' or 'let the baby sry it
out' syndrome the same thing.   "Very few adults end up in therapy because
they were held, fed, loved and responded to as infants.   It is the negleted
baby/child who ends up in therapy."   I get some pretty good response from that
one.
