I have just been given basically sole responsibility for 'Breastfeeding" in
our 30 bed Maternity Unit.

I already do most of the lectures for our students, and now wish to educate
and update our midwives (which shouldn't be too hard, they are ready for it)
As we are a very busy Unit, inservice is very difficult, and often we preach
to the converted. I am thinking along the lines of "take home" type
information, perhaps with a self test also. We are quite a progressive
unit, but I need to look at other avenues of education than attendance at
talks etc, at least initially.
I have very supportive superiors, and see this as a great step forward.
Also going to be working towards "Baby Friendly", which shouldn't be too
hard.

Any information offered will be very gratefully accepted
please reply privately
