I was assisting a client yesterday in providing information to her physician about the latest study regarding Lexapro. Even after giving the resources and website locations at PubMed and Dr. Hale the physician told the client that she would need to quit breastfeeding - after all she had given the baby the colostrum so there was need to continue. AAARGH!!!!
Back to square one - any suggestions on how to gently persuade physicians about the importance of breastfeeding? How can a physician overlook the data?
