I have a puzzling case, my good friends baby who is excluisvley BF is
experiencing problems with her babies stools. Her daughter is now stooling
once a week, which is O.K. but when she stools it is quite hard, and causes
intense discomfort and bleeding to baby.

I have no experience with this situation and all the literature I come
accross states that BF babies do not get constipated...however her baby
must be the exception.

I am positive the baby is not being supplemented in any way. What could
cause this? Could something she is eating cause this?(her thoughts)

What would you recommend to this mom if she had phoned you?
