Hi All

Thought you might like to read the email I just sent. The attachment I sent is a summary of the 6 recommendations that I extracted and reformatted from: http://www.who.int/child_adolescent_health/documents/9789241598873/en/index.html

Thanks to those on the list who alerted me to this.

ATTENTION: Dave Letterman

Dear Dave

Greetings from Australia!

As a regular viewer of your show, and in my capacity as a Lactation Consultant, IBCLC (international board certified) since 1993, I feel obliged to highlight the strong possibility that comments made inadvertently by Sharon Stone re "AIDS-infected breastmilk" could be misconstrued as meaning that HIV-positive mothers should not risk breastfeeding their newborns.

It is not my intention to denigrate the obviously wonderful and inspirational work that Ms Stone continues to do in addressing this enormous problem.

In the interest only of providing access to the latest recommendations (Nov 09) from the World Health Organization in relation to HIV and infant-feeding, I would really appreciate if you could arrange for the attached pdf document to be forwarded to Ms Stone.

Cheers, Julieanne

PS: It would be really great to see more country music artists on your show.
