Jodie,

I work at a small community hospital, not a NICU.  When our babies are
needing to stay for any reason after their mother's are discharged or
if babies need to be readmitted for any reason, their mothers are fed
3 meals/day, whether or not they are nursing or bottle-feeding.  As to
how it is paid for, I can't speak to that.  I suspect that meal costs
are considered part of the room charge for every admission and so the
cost is part of the daily charge.
