I have one, and my only real use out of it is to
demonstrate what the Avent pump does (i.e. flex those
petals). ;-) Avent pumps are not common around here,
so it's a new device for most people to see, and
sometimes they can't figure out how those petals would
work!

I know that Joanne Green (of widesmiles.org) was
donated 4 of them for trying out on cleft babies
instead of the MJ squeeze bottles. I haven't heard
back from her recently. Her first impression was that
the valve on the back of them didn't let air in fast
enough (i.e. would frustrate a screaming baby), but
she was still going to try them, and might have found
that they'd work okay in some instances.

I would have thought to squeeze out maybe 1/2-1 ounce
at a time, then burp baby then let air back in, then
re-feed until the feeding is over. That way you don't
end up with this *really* compressed
flat-breastbottle! ;-) LOL...

Myra.
