Hi Pat - I'm not sure how breast milk composition will help you investigate moms lack of supply. Many of the HMBANA milk banks will analyze moms milk for fat content, protein and cal. But this is more for the NICU's use - so they can have a starting point when they are going to fortify the milk. Other then fortification and research, I have not heard of it being used to explain lack of supply.
