I was interested to read about this in a recent posting.
If there are any lead experts out there it would be interesting to hear from
them whether there actually is any medically proven risk of lead levels
rising in mothers' blood stream to the levels measured over the short time
recorded. As I understand it lead exposure is long term before it is easy to
measure as a risk, but this is only from a lay, ie non medical point of
view.
It was interesting to note that the authors had found higher lead levels in
formula than breastmilk in previous work.
The Article seems to be in March 1 Amrerical Journal of Epidemeology, which
has it's own website.
