Judy,
Human milk components genetically engineered are being used to create yogurts
and for use in infant formula as probiotic enhancements. So adults are
getting the marvelous benefit of human milk lactic acid bacteria in their foods. I
have been writing about this for a number of years. I think most people
don't believe that it is commercial because it is "just" patents and maybe they
think I am nuts. What can I say? It's the why of my hysteria in regard to
Dannon being a sponsor for a milk bank. But obviously, the breastfeeding
community supports this endeavor because we have tenet 25 that supports patenting.
There is nothing I can add to this. It's not new--other companies are doing it.
This company is being open about what they are doing. So I guess we should
all enjoy our yogurts, sports drinks, supplements, and infant formula courtesy
of the "inventiveness" of men and the bodies of women....what a world!!
