I have been gone for over 2 weeks, and I hope I'm not repeating what
has already been discussed...

I have recently received 2 mailings from a company who has been doing
breastfeeding seminars for years.  In both of the most recent fliers,
it is stated that both of the presenters have been awarded "honorary
designation IBCLC in 1985 ...".  Is this from the certifying board
for current IBCLCs?  Wasn't 1985 BEFORE the IBCLC process?  How does
one obtain this honorary distinction?  Just wondering.
