Ann Marie asked:

>Are there success stories of women who have induced lactation WITHOUT use of
hormones?<

Yes, of course there are.
In fact, if you think about it, until very recently ALL cases of
induced lactation took place without added hormones.

The first time I helped a woman induce lactation for her adopted son
was in 1977. This lady had never been pregnant. She simply put her
baby to breast and used a Lactaid with formula while her milk came in.
By the time she started him on other foods, when he was six months
old, she was able to provide enough of her own milk and do without the
formula altogether. Her son continued to nurse until he self-weaned
when he was 2 years old.

HTH,
norma
