Although I am not an expert in malabsorption, my own two breastfed children
were eventually diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. It turns out that their
severe malabsorption was an early sign of CF and they would have done much
better if they had stayed on breastmilk longer. All of what all of us know
about the easy digestion of breastmilk is applicable in any case of
malabsorption because not only does the flora of the intestines stay intact
but the milk itself is much easier to break down into useable components. I
would suggest that this mother have more testing done.
As for the bekebobo, not knowing French, I haven't heard of it, but all of
us know about kissing a boo boo.!!
