I took care of a breastfeeding mom last month who was a speech therapy
student whose baby had ankyloglossia. We were discussing how most of the
pediatricians in the area did not clip the frenulum. She stated that in her
classes she was told that one of the risks of frenotomy was damaging nerves
in that area. Has anyone ever heard this? Just thought I would mention it.
