Well said, Rachel. I wonder if docs and nurses have similar  
discussions on their listservs, or have such treats and give-aways  
beens part of medical practice and culture for so long that they  
don't think about it any more? How do we get this issue on the  
broader agenda? I know I worry about it when I get a recommendation  
from my doctor or dentist about some medicine, toothbrush whatever,  
and I worry about it for us as well from the professional side.
