I'm posting this for a colleague, so details are a little sketchy.
She has a client whose occupation entails working with chromium-6 (or
possibly chrome 6). She is gloved and uses a ventilation hood. Hale
talks about chromium-51, a trace metal with breastmilk levels
independent of mother's plasma level. This would be reassuring if
chromium-6 is similar. I am assuming the metal is not radioactive,
since the client mentioned nothing about radioactive protective gear.
Anybody out there with additional information, or who can reassure
us that this compound would act similarly in the body to
chromium-51? TIA
