This is a post that I sent to TLC. It contains information about a
settlement with abm companies in the US for price fixing. Unfortunately,
we know many people who fall into the category of being able to file a
claim. I am posting this so that the abm companies pay for what they've
done.

Well, I've gotten so many requests for the address that I will post it to
the list. I suppose we should try and get this as spread out as possible
so that all those who can will get their reimbursement. I would imagine
that the abm companies want to keep this as quiet as possible.

Again, the "rules" are:

You must complete a form for each child for whom you purchased infant
formula from retail stores (such as grocery stores, discount stores and
others) during the period January 1, 1980 through December 31, 1992. If
you wish to submit a claim for more than one child, make copies of the
form before you begin to complete it. Complete all parts of a claim for
each child and staple all copies together. Each form must be signed
under penalty of perjury.

It doesn't matter where the child was born. It matters where you bought
the formula. Florida, Tennessee, North or South Dakota, West Virginia,
Minnesota, Michigan, Nevada, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisiana.

Each form must be signned and mailed, postmarked no later than January
31, 1997 to:

Settlement Admisistrator
Florida (or other state) Infant Formula Case.
P O Box 402
Minneapolis, MN 55440-0402

Write "Claim Enclosed" on the envelope.

*******You do not need to file this through a lawyer's office*******

*******They do not deserve 30% of the money just for having the above
address******

Again, the web site for the Law Firm is www.tiberias.com/formula.
Yesterday I was able to print off the form, but I can't find the site for
the form today, just the email for the law office. They probably want to make sure you contact them. If you do find
the form from the law office, you can print it out. Cross out their
address and put in the one above. ***You don't need to send it to the
lawyer's office*** Send it to the Minnesota address.

However, I do have the form available for e-mailing from me to you. Contact
me. Those who already have will receive the file. Hopefully it will
print out. I can also fax it if you have that capability. The actual
form is at home right this second so it will be later today, Tuesday,
before the form will be sent. Give me a little time. I do have a list
going.

Maybe I should just ask for 10% for all this work I'm doing. I think
Dona Miller's suggestion should be taken. Make a donation to LLL with a
portion of the money. That's Capital Area La Leche League...

1-800-585-1151 is a US toll free number given by someone else to help you
decide if your state is involved in any action.

Only those eleven states were involved in the class action suit. I think
our illustrious state of Florida led the charge! And your baby need not
have been born in one of those states, you need have only purchased
formula in one of those states. As for proof...that will be between you
and the settlement office.

Good luck to all.
