I'm really glad someone mentioned it, plus the PPD evaluation. I know I
had post partum with my first baby when I was 27.

I kept telling my husband that once the baby came out I felt empty and
wanted to crawl inside him. I just hung onto his front, every chance I
had. At times I just wanted to run away.

My mother was already deceased and I really had no one to call. Plus I
had also been obsessive compulsive as a child.

Fortunately, a kind neighbor/friend offered to rock my baby in my
bedroom after she gave me a beer. I finally fell asleep and she
tiptoed out with my little one. That was the first REM sleep in days of
coming home.

Now I know it was adrenal overload and exhaustion, the fight/flight
reflex that just wouldn't shut off.
