Reminds me of the time I did a breastfeeding class at the hospital and one 
mom stayed after everyone left.  She was dressed and ready to go home, but 
had such sore nipples that one of the nurses told her to wait for the class. 
This baby's tongue was glued to the roof of his mouth.  I don't think in the 
whole 2 1/2 days he had been there that he had any intake at all!  But all 
the nurses notes said he was latching on and nursing well!  After I showed 
mom how to get his tongue down by letting him suck on her finger and we got 
him on once, he figured out what to do.  Of course mom was amazed at how 
much better it felt !  They went on to nurse for many happy months.  Pat in
