Hi Julie:

Per your request concerning breastfeeding as an ecological issue--Not only is
there little if any waste with breastfeeding (and it comes in biodegradeable
containers), think of the different factories it takes to produce: artificial
baby milks (ABMs); the containers to put them in; the bottles, rings and
teats and their packaging; etc. Think of the energy--fossil fuel or coal--it
takes to run those factories. Think of the factory waste products and the
pollution (and subsequent acid rain) related to burning that fuel to run
those factories. And how about equipment and energy needed to transport the
ABMs and related equipment to merchandisers?

Guess the next thing we "zealots" will be accused of is trying to put all
these factory workers and truck drivers, etc. out of work!

Karen
