<<Some kahunas (midwives---could be male or female) knew a way of giving
the labor pains to someone else allowing the mother to have a painless
birth. The recipient of the birth pains could be human or animal.>>

A couple came in to the hospital to deliver their baby. The doctor showed
them a device he had invented that could transfer some or all of the labor
pain to the dad. The couple said that they would like to try it. The doctor
hooked up the machine and turned it on. The husband said so far, so good.
The labor pains increased, the machine was turned up. Doc asked whether hubby
was ok....he said he never felt better, so the machine was turned up all the
way. Mom had a totally painless birth, Husband tolerated it all well. Two
days later when they arrived home, the mailman was dead on their porch.
