I use this reflex at times-esp. with "tight mouth" babies. I have found it
effective in many cases and have taught it to Dads at times to help with
latching in the early days.  It works best if you press both palms at the
same time.  I have been aware of it for years but did not know it was a
"real" reflex until Dr. Marshall Klaus discussed it briefly at a conference I
attended several years ago.  He had a name for it but I don't remember the
name.  I would say it 'works'  65% of the time.
