I would refer the mom for Mayan Abdominal Massage:

Practitioner listing--only in UK, not Ireland, though, but maybe she
can contact one of the practitioners and see if they have any ideas.

I do know that there are some PT's who specialize in restoring pelvic
floor structure.

It is designed exactly for this purpose. Maybe just reading the info
and understanding that this is is not a bf;ing issue will encourage her
to seek another opinion/ treatment plan. BTW, I would love to see the
research that supports his claim that weaning will solve her problem. I
found at least one site on line from India where a physician claims
that breastfeeding restores structural function and allows the prolapse
to correct itself without surgery!

Again, this is a normal mother of an infant (ie--feeding normally) who
happens to have a medical condition at the same time. But, it is
amazing to me that there are so many conditions that are treated by
weaning babies--one would think that the opportunity to wean is the
single greatest "benefit" of breastfeeding.
