There are not conference announcements on Lactnet because it isn't
appropriate for them to be there. Conference listings  are advertisements.
We don't take advertisements because they detract from the main focus of our
list.   Also, because people make money from conferences, and they can
afford to pay the small fee to list their conference on Lactnews on Line.

Kathy and I, and the other list administrators maintain the list as
volunteers, and I don't feel that our job as volunteers  should include
promoting conferences.
