I have been asked if there is a minimum length of time after the cessation
of breastfeeding, before a breast reduction can take place. One surgeon
suggested 6-12 months or when there is no longer any milk present, to avoid
any possible risk of mastitis after severing the ducts. Can anyone here
concur or have other information? I haven’t found the answer to this in any
texts or archives.

Many thanks,
